I love you like I love pizza

Will loves pizza. Specifically, pepperoni pizza. And in the years that we've been together, dates involving a pizza always meant pepperoni pizza. I like pepperoni, but come on! I tell him that there's more to pizza than pepperoni, and in between bites, he would say, as if daring me, "Yeah, like what?" I stand my ground: "Like vegetables. And shrimp, maybe." To which my stubborn man would retort, "There's no such thing."
Ah, but there is. Such things are called personal size pizzas at Project Pie. This restaurant from Seattle recently set up shop in Manila. We walked in and the restaurant has a postmodern, hipster, and slightly intimidating feel to it, not least because the whole idea is you get to make your own pizza in a factory-like environment. Will, of course, did not make his own pizza; he ordered pepperoni, surprise, surprise! I didn't make my own either (too much work!), but I did order pizza number 3: tomato, artichoke, red onion, pesto, feta, and mozzarella.
Behold, my first non-pepperoni pizza in years!

The crust is crunchy, and the flavor is good. It'll work with more feta next time. And because this is a "healthy" pizza -- as it's chock full of vegetables -- it is not greasy. You know how sometimes you just want a good ol' fashioned greasy pizza? This is not for you. This is for me and for the many times that I'm head over heels with pizza that isn't pepperoni.
